Wilder hails excellent U's

Oxford manager Chris Wilder was in high spirits after his side claimed an important 2-1 victory at Port Vale. Harry Worley netted a second-half winner after Marc Richards put away his rebounded penalty and Jack Midson tapped in a loose ball to equalise in the first 45 minutes. Wilder said: "We fully deserved the win and I was delighted with the way we went about it. "We played all the football. All the good football played on that pitch was played by us and I don't care what anyone else thinks. "I'm an honest manager and I have a go at my players if they have played poorly, but we were excellent against a side who were tipped to go up in the top three. "I decided to make changes to give some of the other boys a chance and I was delighted with everyone. There is a great spirit in the camp and the players who were left out are just as happy in that dressing room as those who came in. It just shows how far we have come when we can come to a place like this and win."
