West Ham flop Kieron Dyer signs for Ipswich

I'm off: Kieron DyerIpswich signed their former midfielder Kieron Dyer on a month-long loan from West Ham.Dyer, 32, left Portman Road in 1999 for Newcastle in a ?6million deal and moved to Upton Park for a similar fee four years ago.Despite winning 33 full caps for England his career has been blightedby a series of injuries, including a broken leg in only his third game for the Hammers and he has only clocked up 17 senior starts for the club.A member of the England squad at the 2002 World Cup finals and the European Championship two years later, his last international appearancewas in the 2-1 defeat by Germany in August 2007.He has made just 13 appearances for West Ham this season, including five as a substitute, and he has yet to score a goal for the club.Ipswich boss Paul Jewell made his move after on-loan Hull star Jimmy Bullard suffered a hamstring injury and skipper David Norris collected his 10th yellow card of the season, earning him a two-game ban.Dyer goes straight into the Tractor Boys' squad for tomorrow's Championship trip to Leeds.
