Conor Sammon believes Wigan can leap to Premier League safety

Wigan striker Conor Sammon believes the Latics can drag themselves from the foot of the Barclays Premier League table and win their fight for survival.The Republic of Ireland Under-21 made his debut from the bench in the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City on Saturday but almost grabbed an equaliser in stoppage time.Now, the Dublin-born striker, who joined Wigan from Kilmarnock in January, insists he can help to save the club from relegation.
