Striker Michael Smith and midfielder John McReady both return with Tommy Wright dropping to the bench while Gary Smith injured. Gary Smith has been carrying a thigh strain of late and had to play through the pain barrier in Saturday's FA Trophy tie win over Salisbury City. McReady has not started a game since mid-October since when he has spent time on loan at Whitby Town. Michael Smith, who has scored in each of his last three starts, missed Saturday's game as he was cup-tied, but he lines up this evening in attack alongside Liam Hatch. Darlington, in 13th, are bidding to extend their run of form which currently sees them having lost only one of their last 13 matches. Fleetwood, currently one place outside of the play-offs places in sixth, beat Quakers 1-0 during their league meeting at Highbury on New Year's Day. In the Fleetwood side is former Darlington defedner Sean Gregan. The 36-year-old began his career with Quakers, making his debut in December 1991.
