Brown wants more fight

Preston boss Phil Brown warned his side they need to get rid of their losing mentality if they are to avoid relegation from the npower Championship after a 2-1 home defeat to local rivals Burnley which left them 11 points from safety. Jack Cork headed home an 84th-minute winner after Jay Rodriguez had cancelled out Barry Nicholson's opener for the hosts. Brown said: "I've got a lot of disappointed people I've got to pick up over the weekend now. "I've got my staff getting involved with opposition staff on a weekly basis. Maybe if the players showed enough fight where that was concerned we might win a game. "There's one or two prepared to die for the cause and that is what I need on the field as opposed to off it. I haven't got an impossible task but it is arresting the losing mentality."
