Hamilton midfielder Gary McDonald remains optimistic his team can fight their way off the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table.
The 28-year-old felt his side were unlucky to lose 1-0 to his former club Aberdeen on Tuesday, Chris Maguire's first-half penalty proving decisive at Pittodrie.
McDonald told Press Association Sport: "I think we can take a lot of positives from the game, especially in the second half when we really had them pinned in.
"We put them under a lot of pressure and created a few chances but we just couldn't take them.
"If we had got one I thought we would have gone on and won the game but we just can't seem to buy that break in front of goal at the moment."
