Hughes keeps players on toes

Mark Hughes has warned his Fulham players none of them is guaranteed a place in his side between now and the end of the season. The Cottagers' team arguably went close to picking itself earlier in the campaign following injuries to key players. But with everyone except Philippe Senderos now fit - and the defender is close to returning himself - competition for places is becoming more intense than ever. Hughes told his club's official website, www.fulhamfc.com: "I'm constantly looking at how the players perform, because I expect us to train how we play, so I'm looking to make sure the intensity is correct and that's reflected in my selections. "It's not just a case of if a player played well two weeks ago, they'll play this week. "It's about making sure they're right for the game that's ahead of us, and that goes for every position."
