Manchester United hit by Anderson KO blow: Brazilian could be out for two months

Manchester United have been dealt another body blow on the eve of their Champions League tie at Marseille as midfielder Anderson has been ruled out for two months with a torn hamstring. The Brazilian pulled up with the injury early in the first half of United's FA Cup victory over Crawley on Saturday. He had ice treatment on the side of the pitch but was replaced at half-time by Wayne Rooney.  Injury woe: Anderson (left) will be missing as United battle on three frontsScans showed worse damage than expected on Monday and he has been advised to rest for up to eight weeks. Anderson, 22, had just started to find form after battling back from a cruciate ligament injury sustained last season. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson rewarded him with a new four-and-a-half year contract in December and had been keen to give him more responsibility while Michael Carrick and Darron Gibson struggle to convince.  New deal: Ferguson (left) chose to extend Anderson's Old Trafford stint in DecemberUnited are already without Park Ji-sung, Michael Owen and Jonny Evans for the tripto France, while Rio Ferdinand remains doubtful with a calf problem. Marseille have their own injury problems but influential playmaker Mathieu Valbuena has made a return to training following a knee injury. I want to win more at United!
