Preston boss Phil Brown is boosted by the return of on-loan QPR striker Leon Clarke for the trip to Nottingham Forest.
Clarke missed Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Rangers at Deepdale as he was ineligible to face his parent club under the terms of his loan.
He could come straight back into the starting line-up as rock-bottom North End go in search of their first win since Brown took over last month.
Striker Iain Hume has been nursing a hamstring injury but is edging closer to full fitness and may come into contention to face Billy Davies` men.
Midfielder Paul Coutts and forward Chris Brown are also hoping to be passed fit after injury but the City Ground may come too soon for them.
