Dirk Kuyt set for new Liverpool deal

Dirk Kuyt is set to sign a new contract at Liverpool after a successful run as the Anfield dressing room DJ. The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven games and Kenny Dalglish has been given most of the credit for the revival since replacing Roy Hodgson as manager. But Dutchman Kuyt is convinced his choice of tunes before heading on to the pitch has played a big part. I am the music man: Anfield ace Kuyt has been doing a fine job with his iPodHe said: 'Ever since I've plugged my iPod into our music system and play the stuff I've collected at home for our games, we've not lost a game. I think we are all a bit superstitious as players. 'I took over from one of the lads and when they all like it, they let you be in charge. It is like taking a penalty. If you score, they all let you take the next one. 'What do I play that gets the lads going? Kings of Leon, The Killers and Amy Winehouse. That sort of stuff. Then, after the warming up, I let the physio take over with his iPod for one song. Mersey beat: Las Vegas band The Killers have been blasted at Anfield'When we come back in the dressing room he has put You'll never walk alone on. That gets us all together. We feel so united when we hear that.' Kuyt's current deal runs out at the end of next season and he has been linked with several clubs across Europe with Inter Milan trying hard to sign him last summer. But the 30-year-old forward, a ?9million signing from Feyenoord in 2006, said: 'My contract has one more season to go after this but there are things happening. 'We have had some talks and I can only say it looks positive. I feel at home in Liverpool and I don't want to leave here.'  Deschamps: I snubbed King Kenny's offer to take charge of LiverpoolWatch all the Premier League goals every week on our brilliant video playerKenny Dalglish: Can Wilshere make his mark against real giants of football?Everton boss Moyes eyes summer move for Liverpool kid Eccleston All the latest Liverpool news, features and opinion  Explore more:People: Amy Winehouse, Kenny Dalglish, Roy Hodgson, Dirk Kuyt Places: Liverpool, Europe
