Calderwood urges caution

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood continued to warn his players not to start thinking they have turned the corner after Francis Dickoh's late goal at St Mirren Park earned them a third successive victory. Dickoh headed the only goal from close range in the 87th minute after Paul Hanlon had headed back Callum Booth's deep corner to give Hibs a 1-0 victory. The win moved them 11 points above Clydesdale Bank Premier League bottom club Hamilton and six above Saints. "It helps in the short term, the long term has still to be decided," said Calderwood. "What we do in the next game and the games after that before the split will determine how important these wins have been. "There is no game dead for us. I said that to the team before the game, don't think that two victories make us a good team or that you've done everything you're going to do. We've got a point to prove in everything we do between now and May." Dickoh was originally suspended for the game but Hibs successfully overturned the red card he received in the victory over Kilmarnock earlier this month. "I found out on Friday I was able to play so it's enjoyable for me and hopefully the team," said Dickoh. "We're not playing the best football but we're grinding out and getting the three points, which is important in the state we have been in. "We haven't conceded from open play in three games so that's enjoyable as well. We have started to get a rhythm to the team and people are getting a run in the team, not changing too much. That helps with the rhythm. "We were tired of losing, let me be honest about that." St Mirren boss Danny Lennon was exasperated with the loss of another late goal, calculating they have lost 14 points this season in the same manner. "Every time we have a good opportunity to do something on our own merit, we seem to choke," he said. "That's something, with the experience I have in the dressing room, I am looking for them to handle a lot better."
