Steve McClaren fears City could wait a while before Dzeko settles in at City

Steve McClaren believes it will take time before Manchester City see the best of new ?27million signing Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian striker has struggled to make an impact at Eastlands since joining City  from Wolfsburg last month and has scored just once in seven appearances. McClaren was the man who sold him to City during his time in charge of Wolfsburg before he was sacked last month. Misfiring: Dzeko has scored just once since signing for Manchester City for ?27m The former England manager has backed Dzeko to be a big hit in the Barclays Premier League but that it could take until next season.McClaren said: 'Once Edin settles in England and adapts to the English system, he will be a major force. He has all the attributes to be a big hit in England. He is very good technically and has very good feet.'In some ways he reminds me of a taller version of Mark Viduka. Mark was brilliant in the box and for such a big guy had amazing technical skills.'Edin is very much the same, but given that Edin is a lot taller than Mark I reckon that his physical presence will be more telling in the Premier League.'They have got so many good strikers there at Manchester City that of course it will take him time to bed in, But I think he is a player that will be really suited to the Premier League But you have to remember that not everyone settles in automatically.' The most incredible team photo: Manchester City line up with Rooney, Torres, Ribery, Kaka, Ronaldo, Drogba, Messi and even Where?s Wally!
