Nigel Clough views the forthcoming week as a real opportunity for out-of-sorts Derby to pick up much-needed points and climb away from danger at the wrong end of the Championship table.
Starting from Saturday, the Rams - winless in their last seven games and boasting just one triumph from their last 13 - face three key games in the space of eight days.
A trip to struggling Scunthorpe awaits this weekend before a home clash with Hull next Tuesday and then a journey to Bramall Lane to take on lowly Sheffield United.
"The week we have coming up is a brilliant week for us," manager Clough told County`s official website.
"We have three games close together and it`s a great chance for us to get some points on the board, starting at Scunthorpe on Saturday.
"We`ve been agonisingly close on occasions to getting a win in the last few weeks. The run we`ve been on needs to change and we will be doing our absolute damnedest to get a result on Saturday."
