Carroll's Alleged Assault Charge ...

Andy Carroll's ex-girlfriend has backed him after unproved allegations he assaulted her. Model Laurie Henderson dated Carroll for four months before he spent a night in the cells following the claims. The case was later dropped. The 22-year-old said: “I’m glad the case is over with, I didn’t want to have to go to court and give evidence. “I’m pleased for Andy’s move to Liverpool, we are not in touch anymore but I wish him all the best.” Laurie found herself in a media storm at the time of the arrest. “It was crazy. My friend phoned to tell me that my picture was on the front page of a national newspaper,” she said. Yep . I that boosted her modeling career. "There's no such thing as bad publicity . especially when you're a model".
