Southend receive Mohsni

Southend boss Paul Sturrock has received a major blow with the news that defender Bilel Mohsni will be out for a minimum of six weeks with an injured ankle. The French centre-back injured tendons and ligaments in his left ankle against Shrewsbury at the weekend and despite an initial X-ray showing no fracture to the bone, am MRI scan revealed the true extent of the injury. Speaking to the club's official website, physio Ben Clarkson said: "Bilel will be out for a minimum of six to eight weeks. "The specialist will review it after six weeks to see if he is ready to step up his return or if he will requires more rehab. "Although it is the same ankle that Bilel injured in December it is actually different tendons and ligaments he has injured this time." Mohsni, who has recently been playing as a makeshift striker, has made 20 appearances for the Shrimpers so far this season.
