Jones hopeful over Olofinjana

Cardiff boss Dave Jones is hopeful Seyi Olofinjana will be fit for Sunday`s eagerly-anticipated south Wales derby against Swansea. The powerful midfielder was forced off at half-time in Tuesday`s dramatic 2-2 draw against Reading nursing a slight groin injury but is expected to be fit. Jones will also check on one or two other players who emerged from the clash with slight knocks and niggles but, as usual, kept his cards close to his chest regarding their identity. Stephen McPhail was close to making his return from a troublesome hamstring injury last week but was not quite ready and, although he is not far off, is unlikely to be thrown into the mix on Sunday. Jones has an abundance of midfield and attacking riches to select from and does not need to rush McPhail back. Michael Chopra was the man to make way for debutant midfielder Aaron Ramsey against the Royals in midweek, with the on-loan Arsenal man alongside Olofinjana, Peter Whittingham and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas supporting Jay Bothroyd and Craig Bellamy in attack.
