Da Silva leaves Sunderland for Real Zaragoza

Sunderland defender Paulo Da Silva has completed a permanent switch to Spanish club Real Zaragoza. The Paraguay international moves to the La Liga outfit for an undisclosed fee. Da Silva, who turns 31 tomorrow, arrived at the Stadium of Light in July 2009 from Mexican side Toluca but has found first team appearances at a premium with manager Steve Bruce having access to a wealth of defensive talent. The Asuncion-born player has previous experience in Europe having plied his trade in Italy with Perugia and Venezia.
