Tykes beaten in Lions den

Barnsley failed to follow up Tuesday night's away victory at Doncaster as they were beaten 2-0 by play-off chasing Millwall. Steve Morison and James Henry were on target in the first half as the Lions recorded a fourth straight home win to move up to eighth in the npower Championship table. Barnsley had chances of their own, but remain 13th in the table following an eighth defeat on the road this term. Millwall opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Henry's low cross picked out Morison, who tapped home from close range to register his 13th goal of the season. Henry then added a second before the break when his 20-yard strike took a huge deflection off Matt Hill and wrong-footed goalkeeper Luke Steele. It all added up to a second wasted trip to south London in the space of a month for the 270 hardy Barnsley fans after the original fixture was called off a couple of hours before kick-off.
