Celtic manager Neil Lennon has tested the waters ahead of a swoop for former Rangers defender Danny Wilson. Wilson has made just three appearances for Liverpool since leaving Ibrox last summer and Lennon wants the 19-year-old defender on loan until the end of the season. The Scotland international has spoken to Anfield manager Kenny Dalglish about his situation and the ex-Hoops star insists Wilson is part of his plans. Frustrating: Wilson (right) has found first-team opportunities hard to come byBut the Glasgow giants will not be put off that easy and a Celtic source told the Daily Record: 'Neil has made a tentative enquiry about getting Danny because he is desperately trying to find some quality defensive cover before the transfer window shuts. 'We suspect at this stage Kenny will want to keep him for the club's Europa League campaign but Neil has not given up hope of bringing him in.' Lennon, who had hoped to sign Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson, needs reinforcements after Daniel Majstorovic was ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.
