Cherries: Bradders intent on keeping squad together

CARETAKER Cherries chief Lee Bradbury has echoed chairman Eddie Mitchell's sentiments by stating his desire to keep hold of the club's star players. Bradbury is likely to be in charge throughout the January transfer window after being appointed for an initial three or four games by Mitchell. A number of Cherries' leading names have been linked with moves away from Dean Court this month, with Scunthorpe unsuccessful with bids of £100,000 and £50,000 for Jason Pearce and Marvin Bartley, respectively. Daily Echo sources suggest Bartley could be a target for Crystal Palace, while Shwan Jalal and Liam Feeney, both of whom produced eye-catching performances at Rochdale on Tuesday, are also believed to be in demand. But speaking to the Echo last night, Mitchell confirmed no further bids had come in for Cherries' players. And Bradbury told the Echo: I want to keep everyone together. We've got where we have because the boys in the dressing room have got a great togetherness and something a bit special. I don't say that lightly. In 15 years in the game, I've not been in a club that has got a team as together as ours. Mitchell also said he would look at the prospect of helping Bradbury in the transfer market, should he identify a potential new recruit. When asked if he would be looking to bring in new faces or if he was happy with his playing resources, Bradbury added: I'm happy with what I've got. If I can just keep the lads together, I'm more than happy to give it a go with them. I've got 100 per cent belief in them.
