Carlisle will hand late fitness tests to skipper Paul Thirlwell and striker Jason Price ahead of the clash at Notts County.
Thirlwell is hoping to shake off a calf strain, while Price is struggling with an Achilles problem. Both players missed the 4-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Huddersfield in midweek.
Central defender Danny Livesey made only his second appearance of the season as a late substitute in Tuesday night's Northern Area final first leg following his recovery from a long-term groin injury and will be in contention again.
Another centre-half, Tony Kay, remains a long-term absentee due to a knee injury, while new midfield signing Marc-Antoine Gbarssin is hoping to make his first start for the Cumbrians, who secured their first league win in six matches against Bristol Rovers last Saturday.
