Pascal Chimbonda to join Ipswich after turning down QPR move

Tractor boy: French defender Pascal Chimbonda will join Ipswich from Blackburn Pascal Chimbonda is set to be reunited with his old boss Paul Jewell at Ipswich after he pulled out of a £500,000 move to QPR.The 31-year-old Blackburn defender has been training on his own after manager Steve Kean stood by a decision made by his predecessor Sam Allardyce that Chimbonda has no future at Ewood Park. A move to QPR was in place but shelved at the last minute when Jewell made his interest known.The new Ipswich boss is keen to work with Chimbonda again despite seeing the player leave Wigan under a cloud five years ago.
