Oxford have signed defender Djoumin Sangare until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old had departed York City, hoping to secure a move to a football club in Morocco, but remained in England.
Speaking to the club's official website, Sangare said: "It's a good opportunity for me. Oxford are a big club.
"They shouldn't be in League Two, they should be much higher.
"I want to try and help them and impress them during this short spell, hopefully I'll get a longer contract."
The defender has also spent time with Salisbury and Stafford, while he had also been training with Lincoln prior to signing up at the Kassam Stadium.
