Carey returns to Hoops

Huddersfield midfielder Graham Carey has returned to parent club Celtic after the two sides failed to reach an agreement over a possible loan extension. The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has spent the last six months with Town, making 23 starts and three substitute appearances and Terriers manager Lee Clark was keen for him to stay. Clark said: "We would have liked to keep Graham at the club for the rest of the season as his quality has been there for everyone to see, but unfortunately we couldn't reach a deal with Celtic and as his parent club they have now recalled him. "I'd like to thank him for his contribution during his stay at Huddersfield Town. His level of performance has been superb and he fitted right into the group, because he's a superb character."
