Hill happy to change tack

Rochdale manager Keith Hill insists he is comfortable changing tactics against different opponents. Hill successfully adopted new tactics to compete with Dagenham's physical presence at the weekend and after recording their third successive win, he insisted his side responded well to a more defensive approach against John Still's side. "When we consider the opposition, the type of football they play and the type of pressure they put you under, especially on their own patch, we had to come up with a defensive solution to nullify the opposition and I thought it worked brilliantly," Hill told the Manchester Evening News "It is something we've tried in training and we played it in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Elland Road. We knew it would work and it was just a case of choosing the right opponent to employ it against. "I was really thrilled with the effort from the lads and of course the results. I think some of the performances have been excellent. This was a bit of an ugly match, we knew that we had to withstand and we did it well."
