Wigan's Mauro Boselli wanted by Genoa in January

Off target: Mauro Boselli has netted just once since his summer move from Estudiantes to WiganGenoa president Enrico Preziosi has revealed his club are keen to sign Wigan striker Mauro Boselli in the winter transfer market. The Argentinian forward is Genoa's top target to strengthen their attacking line following the departure of Luca Toni to Juventus last week. Preziosi told Primocanalesport: 'Our priority is to sign a striker. We expect some developments this week. 'We like Boselli and we can say that he is a real aim for us.'Boselli, 25, joined Wigan from home club Estudiantes last summer but has failed to make an impact at the DW Stadium, scoring just once in 12 Premier League appearances for the club. Genoa, who lie 13th in Serie A, signed Slovak midfielder Juraj Kucka on a permanent transfer from Sparta Prague last week.
