City and Palace To Field Strongest Sides

Team News Both the managers of Coventtry City and Crystal Palace have said that they will field their strongest possible sides for the FA Cup game at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow (3pm kick off).Whilst an FA Cup tie between two sides in the same division may not fully capture the public attention, both Aidy Boothroyd and Dougie Freedman have declared their intention to win the game. Aidy Boothroyd, came in for much criticism for fielding an inexperienced team at Morecambe in the League Cup but stated that he will be playing his strongest possible side by saying: "Some people don`t put full-strength teams out and I think you have to respect the cup. "We`ll be picking a team that`s strong and a team that is looking to win the game."City will again be without the suspended Marlon King and James McPake. Boothroyd may give Martin Cranie who played for eighty minutes at Barnsley on Monday a starting role either at centre half or at left back where he finished the game.Crystal Palace travel to a Ricoh Arena where they have not lost since City moved from Highfield Road in 2005 and caretaker boss Dougie Freedman has said that he will not be fielding an under-strength team by saying: "Anyone who thinks I'll be picking the reserves is badly mistaken. I''ll select a side who I think will win the game. I want to make it two wins from two."Freedman is likely to be without Darren Ambrose and Pablo Counago is only given a 50% chance of playing. However, Claude Davis is fit to play.Tickets are on sale priced at £16 for adults, £11 for over 60s, disabled supporters and students and £6 for children aged 16 and under.Programme is £2.If a replay is required after ninety minutes, it will be at Selhurst Park on January 18th at 8pm.
