Manchester City misfit Emmanuel Adebayor wanted on loan at Malaga

Malaga have made an audacious bid to sign Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor on loan after Real Madrid cooled their interest in the striker. Roberto Mancini had hoped to off-load Adebayor to Real Madrid this month and ease the tension in his camp but Jose Mourinho's board are reluctant to spend big. Malaga are owned by Qatari Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani but City would prefer a permanent deal once Edin Dzeko signs as they look to recoup some of their £27m outlay.
