Bury boss Alan Knill admits he is flattered by speculation linking him with the vacant managerial post at promotion rivals Port Vale.
Vale are searching for a new boss following the departure of Micky Adams to npower Championship outfit Sheffield United.
Knill`s name has been linked with the Vale Park hot-seat and he said: "Apparently I am 8/1 to go to Port Vale. It's good and nice to be recognised.
"Port Vale are a decent club, they are a big club in this division, a bit like Bradford City, but I am contracted to Bury Football Club.
"It's as simple as that, I have another year left after this season. This says that we are going okay, we must be doing something right.
"It's a reflection not just on me, but on my team, my players and my staff."
