I want to play in England again! Former Manchester United keeper Carroll eyes way out of Odense

Wanting to return: Roy CarrollFormer Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll wants to quit Odense and return to play in England.The Danish club would prefer to keep him but appear resigned to his likely departure this month.Thomas Christensen, director of football at Odense, said: 'He will start training on Monday, just like anybody else. There have been no negotiations between Roy and us regarding a release him from his contract.'Roy has our full understanding for wanting to return home but his contract is still running for another one and a half years.'However, anything can happen and the transfer window is open for quite a while yet.'Northern Ireland international Carroll, 33, has been training with Ipswich but boss Roy Keane ruled out a permanent move to Portman Road.Keane said: 'He's a friend of mine from our United days. He's having a week or two with us and he's on a mid-winter break. Don't go jumping to any conclusions.'Carroll, who also played for Hull, Wigan, West Ham, Rangers and Derby, joined Odense in the summer of 2009, signing a three-year deal and winning the Goalkeeper of the Year award in his first season in Denmark. We can match Arsenal and go whole season unbeaten!
