City battle to point

Coventry survived playing with 10 men for half an hour to pick up a 1-1 draw at home to Ipswich. Marlon King was sent off for a reckless lunge on the hour mark but Aidy Boothroyd's side held on to start the new year with a point. Rory Fallon had put Roy Keane's visitors ahead after Jack Colback's shot was parried by Keiren Westwood. But Freddy Eastwood levelled just after the break when he latched onto King's lay-off and sent his low shot wide of Marton Fulop in the Ipswich goal and into the far corner. Keane's side pushed for a winner after King was dismissed for clattering Darren O'Dea but could not find a way through.
