Cherries: Symes closing in on a return

CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe has reported good news on the injury front as Cherries aim to end their away-day hoodoo. The Dean Court outfit go in search of just their second League One victory on the road this season when they visit Swindon Town tomorrow (3pm). On the back of defeats at MK Dons, Notts County and Hartlepool United, Cherries will also be aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive loss. They could be boosted by the return of frontman Michael Symes, while talented utility man Shaun Cooper could feature after returning for 45 minutes at stadium:mk on Tuesday. Howe told the Echo: We introduced Shaun Cooper back into the team and he did very well and got through 45 minutes. How much football he can play in the next two games over three days, we don't know. But we're delighted to have him back. Anton Robinson was ill and that's why he came off at half-time. He will, hopefully, be okay. Michael Symes has had a couple of days' training under his belt, so he's that much closer. Discussing his side's away form, Howe added: Our performances are okay. In the second half against MK Dons, we were excellent. But we need to put it together. We've had two slow starts now away from home and you give yourselves a mountain to climb when you go behind. We've got to make sure we start better and get ourselves in the game. Robins: (from) Smith, Cuthbert, Frampton, Caddis, Sheehan, McGovern, Ferry, Prutton, Ritchie, O'Brien, Pericard, Dossevi, Austin, Rose, Morrison, Timlin, Ball, Dossevi, Scott.
