Parma target Federico Macheda and Fabio Borini as Wigan and Newcastle eye Valeri Bojinov

Parma are ready to revive their interest in Manchester United's Federico Macheda and Chelsea contract rebel Fabio Borini in the hunt for new strikers. The Italians are ready to let former Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov leave in the January transfer window and reports in Italy claim Wigan, Newcastle and Bordeaux have shown interest. However, Turkish side Besiktas are favourites to land the 24-year-old Bulgaria international, who only completed a permanent to move from Eastlands to Parma in the summer following a season-long loan in Serie A. Heading home? Italian teenagers Federico Macheda (left) and Fabio Borini are wanted by Serie A JuventusSir Alex Ferguson closed the door on Macheda leaving on a January loan only last month but the situation could have changed since the Old Trafford boss also insisted Michael Owen was staying till at least the end of the season. His agent Marcello Bonetto said: 'Federico could leave United, that is true, but only on loan. The club and Ferguson have absolute faith in Chicco. 'With the return of Michael Owen, confirmation of Wayne Rooney, plus fine form for Dimitar Berbatov and Hernandez, the space for him in Manchester has been reduced.'We talked it over and were given the all-clear by Ferguson to go on loan for six months in January to gain experience.' On the way out: Bojinov (left) has struggled at Parma this seasonWith Fiorentina also linked, Bonetto added: 'If we do decide to leaveManchester, then Italy represent the most likely destination.'Up until now we have not been contacted by anybody, but will only choose a club that can guarantee Federico consistent playing time. That's the only reason for leaving Manchester.'Fiorentina have not contacted us, but can do whenever they want.'Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov are clearly the first choice strikers, with Macheda finding slim pickings as he rivals Owen, Javier Hernandez and other youngsters for a look-in.The 19-year-old has failed to play a full 90 minutes in the Barclays Premier League this season, starting just twice. He has scored three times in 13 appearances in all competitions this term.Borini's situation is even more dire at Stamford Bridge. The 19-year-old - who plays alongside Macheda in Italy's Under 21 side - was tipped as one for the future by Carlo Ancelotti last year but has not played a single minute of first-team football this season.Borini rejected a contract extension in the summer, which is believed to have angered the Chelsea boss. The 5ft 11in striker would be available for a knockdown fee in January as his current deal expires at the end of the season. Berbatov backed to bring Premier League glory to Manchester UnitedFuming Fergie rages over Bowyer leveller - claiming a foul AND handballManchester United watch £15m-rated Atletico Madrid goalkeeper De GeaLEO SPALL: Who was Arsenal's all-action hero against Chelsea?
