Charles N'Zogbia admits French test appeals with Marseille set to lead chase for Wigan winger

Charles N'Zogbia has put Marseille on alert by admitting he would consider a move back to France. Wigan boss Roberto Martinez insists the France international will stay at the DW Stadium for the rest of the season after winning a tug of war for his services in the summer. But Birmingham and Sunderland could revive interest in the left winger when the January transfer window opens and N'Zogbia has refused to rule out a return to his homeland. Options open: N'Zogbia will not rule out making a move back to France'Coming back to France? I don't know, it could be an interesting challenge,' he said. 'On a professional level I have never experienced the football in France because I left (for Newcastle) when I was 18. 'Let's say the door is half open. But for now there has been no formal contact from any French club.' French champions Marseille were keen in the summer and are considering reinforcements as they chase Lille, who have a three-point lead and a game in hand over last season's kings. Birmingham had an £8million bid knocked back in the summer as Wigan held out for £10m, while former Latics boss Steve Bruce could be tempted to make way for him at Sunderland. But Martinez says there is no pressure to sell, insisting: 'He (N'Zogbia) is enjoying his football. We have not had an approach, there are no issues, and the chairman is very clear about it.' However, the 24-year-old's value could plummet in the summer, when he will have just 12 months left on his contract.   Wolves 1 Wigan 2: Rodallega and Cleverley condemn McCarthy's menWalcott: Beating Chelsea will count for nothing if we lose to WiganWatch all the Premier League goals every week on our brilliant Yahoo video playerWIGAN ATHLETIC FC
