Ravenhill in contention for Magpies

Notts County midfielder Ricky Ravenhill could come back into contention for the trip to Plymouth. Ravenhill suffered whiplash and facial injuries that required stitches following a freak collision with team-mate Neal Bishop during the early stages of the FA Cup win against Bournemouth a fortnight ago. He was a doubt to face Rochdale on Boxing Day but the postponement of that game has given him more time to recover and he may make the squad. Liam Chilvers will definitely miss out after the defender suffered knee ligament damage prior to the visit of Bournemouth. Striker Luke Rodgers has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Before the bad weather had forced their last two fixtures to be postponed, County had won their last three games in all competitions.
