Coloccini and Routledge in for Newcastle

FABRICIO Coloccini and Wayne Routledge both return to the Newcastle starting line-up for today's home game with Manchester City. Magpies boss Alan Pardew has made two changes to the side that beat Liverpool 3-1 in his first game in charge of the club. Coloccini returns from suspension to replace Sol Campbell, and will partner Steven Taylor at the heart of the back four. Routledge replaces the injured Shola Ameobi, with Newcastle expected to line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation rather than the 4-4-2 that took on Liverpool. Andy Carroll will start as a lone striker, with Kevin Nolan expected to play in the hole between midfield and attack. James Milner starts for Manchester City, but there is no place for former Newcastle favourite Shay Given in Roberto Mancini's starting XI. NEWCASTLE (4-4-1-1): Krul; Simpson, Coloccini, S Taylor, Enrique; Routledge, Tiote, Barton, Gutierrez; Nolan; Carroll. Subs: Harper (gk), Williamson, Perch, Smith, Guthrie, Best, Ranger. MAN CITY (4-2-3-1): Hart; Boateng, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov; De Jong, Barry; Silva, Y Toure, Milner; Tevez. Subs: Given (gk), Zabaleta, Richards, Vieira, A Johnson, Balotelli, Jo.
