Oldham boss Paul Dickov is confident of striking a deal to keep Filipe Morais at Boundary Park for the remainder of the season.
The Portuguese-born winger, who is currently on non-contract forms, has been offered a package for the remainder of the campaign.
Dickov said: "Filipe loves it here and I know he wants to stay and hopefully we are close to sorting something out.
"I believe Filipe will be a very good player for us, though we haven't seen much of him due to him serving a three-match ban and also games being postponed."
