Robinson: Defeat hard to stomach

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson admitted he had spoken at length to the referee after his side's 2-0 loss at Notts County. The Dons looked to be heading for a goalless draw until late goals from Thomas Ince and Lee Hughes secured victory for the home side. Aaron Wilbraham was sent off for two yellow cards, and Robinson said: "I've just had a very productive 20 minutes with the referee. It must be a difficult job, and you've got to give them credit as they've only got one set of eyes. But it doesn't make it any easier to take." Robinson, a former youth coach at Liverpool, admits it is getting frustrating to see his former protigis scoring against him. "I coached Thomas Ince at Liverpool, as well as Neil Mellor (who scored a hat-trick for Sheffield Wednesday against the Dons), and all these players are coming back to haunt me," he said. "The ex-manager's son coming off the bench and scoring - you couldn't write it better than that. But we showed a lot of passion and that's pleasing."
