Grant expects to end away day woes soon

Avram Grant is convinced West Ham's wait for a Barclays Premier League away win will end soon after seeing them slip to a 1-0 defeat at Sunderland. The Hammers have not collected all three points on the road since the opening day of last season, and despite their recent revival, that is proving a costly failing. They slipped back to the foot of the table as Jordan Henderson's first goal of the season handed the Black Cats victory. Manager Grant said: "The difference between 1-0 to 0-0 to winning is not so big. We need to do something because we cannot stay without winning away from home, even though here [at Sunderland], that has been difficult this season. "Not even one team has won here, so it is not easy to play here, but we need to improve it. "I am sure we can do it. If you saw all our away games, in 60 or 70 per cent, we have played well and we didn't deserve to lose the game."
