Stockport boss Paul Simpson insists his side are determined to erase the pain of their Port Vale humiliation when they travel to Northampton on Saturday.
County`s last match was a 5-0 thumping at home to Vale on November 23 and they are determined to bounce back strongly at Sixfields.
"We spoke about it for a couple of days but after that it's gone," said Simpson.
"We've got to lift them, talk to them and encourage them because the run of games coming up are huge; we're in a real scrap.
"They've been very disappointed and I think they were a bit embarrassed as well but the focus now is getting a result against Northampton."
