Simpson ready to lift embarrassed Hatters

Stockport boss Paul Simpson insists his side are determined to erase the pain of their Port Vale humiliation when they travel to Northampton on Saturday. County`s last match was a 5-0 thumping at home to Vale on November 23 and they are determined to bounce back strongly at Sixfields. "We spoke about it for a couple of days but after that it's gone," said Simpson. "We've got to lift them, talk to them and encourage them because the run of games coming up are huge; we're in a real scrap. "They've been very disappointed and I think they were a bit embarrassed as well but the focus now is getting a result against Northampton."
