Wilkins calls for Saints patience

The former Brighton manager has taken his first training session with the Saints after being appointed as Alan Pardew's number two and admitted that with only a week to go until the big kick-off there is plenty of work still to do. He told the Southern Daily Echo: "Looking at the club over the past there's been a lot of things going on both on and off the pitch, but we're trying to bring some stability to it. "There will be a very strong work ethic to try and get the side winning again. "There is big potential, but it takes time to realise that as well."
