Robins clash to have inspection

Cheltenham will again have a full-strength squad for their rearranged clash with Southend, with Town officials hoping the encounter survives a 9am pitch inspection on Tuesday morning. The initial League Two meeting was abandoned with 66 minutes played on November 2 due to floodlight failure, with the Robins leading 1-0. And the match may have to be completed at the third attempt depending on temperatures overnight in Gloucestershire, with pitch covers at Whaddon Road unable to counter the extreme current wintery conditions. Captain Michael Pook enjoyed a 10-minute cameo from the bench in Saturday`s 3-0 FA Cup defeat at Southampton, his first appearance since returning from a calf injury. And he is likely to get another run-out against the Shrimpers should the game go ahead. Manager Mark Yates told the club`s official website: "I don`t think there will be any hangover from Saturday. We have to focus on the next game and the players have been very good at that all season. "We didn`t disgrace ourselves on Saturday but we didn`t quite reach the heights we have done in the past and if we had of done then who knows what would have happened. Hopefully the club is now in a better position financially and we can concentrate on our league form."
