The Firing Line: West Ham boss Avram Grant continues to top our list for the chop

To be fair to West Ham's co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan, they are doing everything they can to avoid sacking Avram Grant - even sacking his assistant first. But another dire defeat at Liverpool saw West Ham go 3-0 down inside 40 minutes and even prompted some Hammers fans to walk-out before half-time, no mean feat given their loyal support.Still Avram stays but for how much longer? The fans are a patient bunch at Upton Park but defeat in the huge game against Wigan will surely be the last straw for them. You lot are going one way: Grant has just one league win in 14 at West HamElsewhere Carlo Ancelotti jet propels up the order in the biggest move of the season, as recent developments surrounding the coaching staff at Stamford Bridge have got everyone in a twist. Chelsea's recent performances and results suggest all is not well. Each week we bring you our latest chart of the managers underpressure, and those on Easy Street. Here's Sportsmail's sack-racerankings - otherwise known as the Firing Line.1West Ham - Avram Grant Losing at Anfield is no disgrace but the manner in which the Hammers got beat was too much for fans (the ones that stayed beyond half-time) who chanted for Paolo Di Canio. NON-MOVER 2Chelsea- Carlo AncelottiThere is no doubt Ancelotti is considering his Blues future. Losing his right-hand man and being forced into accepting another is not about to make you feel comfortable in a job. UP 16 3ManCity - Roberto Mancini Just when it all started to look like going against the Italian, his side produce one of their best performances under him to thump Fulham. That will come undone if City flop at Stoke next. DOWN ONE 4Wolves- Mick McCarthyFive defeats in six and Wolves just keep conceding in the opening minutes giving themselves too much work to do. In a results driven business they are in deep trouble. NON-MOVER5Wigan- Roberto Martinez Fell to an almost inevitable defeat at Old Trafford but the real test for Martinez is at West Ham next. Lose that one and Wigan are certain to be in for season long scrap against the drop. NON-MOVER6Liverpool- Roy Hodgson Hodgson has his team much more settled and look daunting to face at home. It's away form that's the problem. Spurs on the road will be a good measure of how far he has come. DOWN THREE7Newcastle - Chris Hughton The Toon Army are a coupon buster. Hughton hasn't got a response from his side since the win at Arsenal. Only Fabricio Coloccini has reacted and that was with his elbow. NON-MOVER8BirminghamCity - Alex McLeish Against all odds (and maybe a bit of help from the man upstairs) claimed a shock win against Chelsea. Out of the relegation zone for now but are only two points clear with Fulham next. DOWN TWO9WestBromwich - Roberto Di Matteo Like Newcastle, it's all gone wrong for Di Matteo after defeating Arsenal after West Brom crashed to a heavy home defeat against Stoke. Just two points off the drop and just one point in 15. UP TWO10Fulham - Mark Hughes Once in charge of the only cottage in the world to be a fortress, only for Manchester City to come down and give them a footballing lesson. Perilously close to the drop, Birmingham next. UP ONE11Blackburn- Sam Allardyce Impressed the new owners with a well taken win against Villa. Sitting mid-table, his only concern right now is possibly seeing Ewood Park's name changed to the Venky's stadium. DOWN THREE12Blackpool - Ian Holloway Another win will see him pass the halfway mark on the road to the magic 40 points. Top season so far and Holloway seems to be backing down on leaving by giving his chairman the final say. DOWN THREE 13Sunderland- Steve BruceMissed a great chance to go into the top six after an entertaining draw against Everton. His next big test is who to select in attack. Asamoah Gyan or Darren Bent? Or both? Wolves away next. DOWN ONE14Aston Villa - Gerard Houllier Will be fuming at his side's lack of discipline that led to their defeat at the Venky's Sta.Ewood Park. But a young side is bound to make mistakes and it's all part of the learning curve. UP ONE15Stoke City - Tony Pulis Fantastic result to win 3-0 at West Brom and although Pulis' side don't play total football, it's effective as they sit just three points off a place in Europe after a third consecutive win. DOWN TWO16Bolton - Owen Coyle Thumping 5-1 win over Newcastle sees the Bolton bandwagon keep on rolling. Johan Elmander seems to get better every week under Coyle and a push for Europe is a realistic target. DOWN TWO17Everton - David Moyes You just wonder how good Everton could be if Moyes could spend big on a striker. Tim Cahill grabs goals from midfield but a lack of strikes up front is harming the Toffees' season. DOWN ONE18Tottenham- Harry RedknappShowed balls of steel to gamble with an attacking formation against Arsenal in the second-half, but as ever Redknapp is vindicated. All looking good after Champions League progression. DOWN ONE19Arsenal- Arsene Wenger Hugely frustrating week. Lost his bottle (and the lid) in the north London derby and crashed to defeat in Braga with the double blow of losing his captain. Villa (and Robert Pires) next. NON-MOVER20Man United - Sir Alex FergusonUnbeaten, into the next round in the Champions League without conceding and green shoots that Wayne Rooney is on his way back to form. Ferguson sitting pretty at this stage. NON-MOVER Bundesliga is better than c**p Premier League, blasts axed Hammer PetrovicCole blasts West Ham boss Grant with rant over tactics at crisis clubThe Firing Line: Hammer time?
