Liverpool FC boss Roy Hodgson to reap rewards of full week's training

Roy Hodgson 300ROY HODGSON believes Liverpool will reap the rewards of a full week on the training ground when they travel to Tottenham on Sunday. No midweek fixture has enabled the manager to focus on preparing his side for the tough trip to White Hart Lane as the Reds look to build on their 3-0 win over West Ham.In contrast Spurs were involved in Champions League action last night and Hodgson was an interested spectator at their 3-0 win over Werder Bremen.'These kind of weeks are very useful in terms of getting a day off for the players, which in some weeks with three matches you don't get,' he said. 'More importantly it's a chance for us to work at our attacking play and our defensive play and hone the types of skills we're looking for from the players.'You can't do that when you've got three games in a week. I like these weeks very much. We've got a good idea of what Tottenham are about and it's going to be a question of can we produce another performance in order to unsettle them.'The Reds have picked up 13 points out of the last 18 on offer and Hodgson has been delighted by his players' response after a dismal start to the campaign left them in the drop zone.
