Mike Williamson facing anxious wait as FA review clash with Johan Elmander

Newcastle defender Mike Williamson could face an FA charge over his challenge on Bolton striker Johan Elmander. The FA have confirmed disciplinary chiefs will view footage of the incident, in which Williamson appeared to head-butt Elmander during the Magpies' 5-1 defeat at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday. Referee Howard Webb, who later sent off Fabricio Coloccini for elbowing Elmander, took no action over the incident. Should Williamson be charged and subsequently convicted of an offence, Newcastle boss Chris Hughton would find himself without both of his first-choice central defenders for Sunday's clash with champions Chelsea at St James' Park. Williamson and Coloccini facing the elbow after clashes with ElmanderWatch all the Premier League goals every week on our brilliant Yahoo video playerGraham Poll: Refs thrive under scrutiny in Premier League's house of horrorsBolton 5 Newcastle 1: Magpies thrashed as Bolton trot into top fourNEWCASTLE UNITED FC
