Glen Johnson says he's happy to be scoring goals again for Liverpool

Back to his best: Johnson celebrates Liverpool goalGlen Johnson admits he was delighted to find the back of the net on his return for Liverpool after a fall-out with manager Roy Hodgson. Johnson has been sidelined by an abductor problem and missed eight games but the England international was impressive on his comeback in the 3-0 win over West Ham at Anfield on Saturday. His display comes after a spat with his Hodgson, who accused the 26-year-old of not pulling his weight and not performing how a England right-back should be playing.Johnson, who scored Liverpool's first against West Ham, said: 'It was brilliant to be back playing again. No player likes to be stuck on the treatment bench and it has been frustrating for me.'I came back from an injury and then got another one, but that's part and parcel of football and hopefully that's all behind me now. I felt good against West Ham and hopefully I can now stay injury free.'Hodgson himself claimed the row with Johnson was a 'storm in a tea cup' and insisted he had a good relationship with the player. The Liverpool manager told ESPN: 'I think it's more correct to say people made mischief about a conversational comment that was no way directed at Glen.''People in his camp have tried to hit back in a childish manner. Talk about a storm in a teacup, this was the original storm in a teacup. Impressive: Johnson's dazzling runs gave Liverpool a lift in win over West Ham 'I've always had a good relationship with him, he's a good player and I know what he can do. He was more than fit and raring to go.'Johnson admitted he had been below par and Hodgson was perhaps justified in his comments regarding his form.'I didn't need to hear it from the boss to know that I hadn't been playing at my best, I'm an honest man and I know how well I can play, so it was nice to get a goal today,' he said.'It's always nice to come off the treatment bench and it's obviously nice to come back with a goal. I missed the last six out of seven games, so I just wanted to get back into it.' As Liverpool move closer to top four manager Roy Hodgson tell critics: You wrote us off far too early this season Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton hands over control to Americans LIVERPOOL FC
