Cotterill frustrated by defeat

Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill felt his players did not do enough to earn a point after they crashed 1-0 at Barnsley. Adam Hammill's 13th-minute goal condemned Pompey to a fourth match without a win. The visitors struggled to create chances as the home side dominated the affair and Cotterill expressed frustration at his team's lack of cutting edge. He said: "I didn't think there was a lot between the teams, I didn't think there would be a lot of goals in this game. "I thought we were better in the first half and they got the goal against the run of play. We started the game well but got sloppy and they scored. "We didn't do enough to score a goal. Our better opportunities came in the first half. We needed somebody to tap them in."
