Fabio Aurelio boosts under-pressure Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson by declaring himself fit again

Fit again: Fabio AurelioFabio Aurelio has told Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson he is ready for a return to action against West Ham United on Saturday, if he is needed. The Brazilian left back has been forced onto the sidelines since August after suffering Achilles and groin injuries. But Aurelio came through a reserve outing on Tuesday against Blackpool and is now ready to boost Roy Hodgson in his attempts to propel the Reds up the Premier League table. 'I feel good after the 75 minutes for the reserves and I'm ready for Saturday if the manager needs me,' Aurelio told Liverpool's official website. 'I have been training well and I was in the squad for the Stoke game but didn't make the bench. Hopefully I can play on Saturday. 'It was good to get some minutes against Blackpool and I enjoyed being back. Hopefully I can start a run of games for the first team now. It has been frustrating not to play but I have been working hard and kept my confidence up. 'I had an Achilles problem and then after I played for the reserves in a friendly at Huddersfield I suffered a small groin problem, but now I feel good and I'm ready to work hard for the manager. The more you play the more confidence you have. I'm feeling good and just want to play again.'  Danny Wilson delighted with dream debut after Liverpool kid fires Scotland to win over FaroesLiverpool set to win race to sign £7m Real Sociedad star GriezmannMartin Samuel: Are John Henry's Liverpool crew just Double Glazers?Liverpool can buy stars in January, says Comolli (as long as it's a bargain!)  Explore more:People: Roy Hodgson, Fabio Aurelio Places: Liverpool
