Fletcher targets Wolves recall

Steven Fletcher is confident he can win his place back in the Scotland squad as soon as he is given another run in the Wolves side. Fletcher has been unable to command a regular spot at Molineux since his £7million summer move from Burnley, with Kevin Doyle often used as a lone striker. That has seen Fletcher left out of the Scotland squad for the last three matches - including this week's clash with the Faroe Island - but the striker, who scored his fourth goal of the campaign as a substitute against Bolton at the weekend, is sure he can win back his place. He said: "I haven't been getting much action recently but when the gaffer does give me opportunities, hopefully I'll take them."I've got the self belief to score goals and hopefully I can get a start."I'm happy to do a job for the team. I played wide on Saturday and I scored when I was playing wide at Tottenham."As for Scotland, if I continue scoring goals then hopefully I'll be in there on merit."He (Levein) said I wasn't in the squad because I wasn't playing. "But I just need to keep scoring goals then hopefully I'll get an opportunity."
