Shrimps were down to bare bones

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has revealed how far his resources were stretched during Saturday`s 2-1 home defeat to Lincoln. The Shrimps crashed to their seventh loss of the season but McIlroy was left with only six substitutes at his disposal because of illness, injury and suspension. He said: "Andy Parrish was ill, Chris Shuker and Craig Stanley were suspended and Stewart Drummond, Andy Fleming and Neil Wainwright all injured. "I had to put some young lads on the bench and it was good experience for them but it was probably not the right game to bring them on in the end."
